JOKES: A few easy jokes to remember

June 16, 2011 in Jokes

Everyone should be able to tell a few jokes. Here are a few easy jokes for non-native English speakers that will surely put a smile on a native speaker’s face…and don’t call me Shirley. ;-)

Memorize these jokes and then tell someone at Cypris.

Start your joke telling like this, “Hey everyone, I have a joke. Do you wanna hear it?”

Joke Comment
Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: To get to the other side.
Every native speaker knows this joke, so it will definitely get a reaction.
A: Knock knock
B: Who’s there?
A: Orange.
B: Orange who?
A: Orange you glad to see me.
This is another one everyone knows, but your pronunciation should make it fun to hear.
Q: What did the bartender say to the horse when he walked into the bar?
A: Why the long face?
A native speaker might not know this joke. “Long face” is an expression when someone looks sad or depressed; common in bars, I guess.
